Guadalajara
The City and Surrounding Areas

Guadalajara, Mexico’s second largest city, is located in the State of Jalisco. Known for its beauty and Spring-like climate, Guadalajara has preserved an important cultural heritage yet is a modern productive metropolis with numerous special events and activities such as the Folklore and Cultural October Fest, the International Book Fair (FIL), and the International Mariachi Festival, just to name a few.

Guadalajara is a most attractive place for international students and a well-known tourist destination in Mexico for its beauty, safety and friendly people.
Puerto Vallarta, Chapala (the largest lake in Mexico), the town of Tequila (birthplace of tequila), Guanajuato (a lovely colonial city), and many other historic and cultural venues are all very easy to reach from Guadalajara.
